Detailed Itinerary
Arrival in Fes
Pick-up from Fes Sais Airport and transfer to your hotel/riad in the Medina. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the old medina before dinner and overnight stay.
Discover Fes (Full Day City Tour)
Spend the day exploring Fes, the most intellectual city of Morocco. Visit historical sites including Bou Inania & Attarine Medersas, the Karaouine Mosque & University, Nejjarine Fountain, souks, and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Overnight stay in Fes.
Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains with stops in Ifrane and the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see Barbary apes. Continue via Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga. In the afternoon, take a camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi and watch the magical sunset. Overnight in a desert camp with dinner and Berber music.
Merzouga Desert Excursion
Explore the Merzouga region. Visit Khamlia village (home of Gnawa musicians), and nomadic families. Return to the dunes for another camel ride and a second night under the starry desert sky in a traditional Berber camp.
Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, ride camels back to Merzouga, then drive to Rissani Market, Erfoud fossil workshops, and the spectacular Todra Gorges. Continue to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay in a local hotel.
Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Travel through the Dades Valley and Rose Valley, stopping at Skoura Palm Grove. Visit Ouarzazate and the legendary Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site and famous film location. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass to arrive in Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.
Marrakech → Essaouira → Marrakech
Day trip to the Atlantic coast and the seaside town of Essaouira (Mogador). Explore its Portuguese fortifications, artisan markets, medina streets, and fishing port. Enjoy fresh seafood and return to Marrakech for the night.
