Desert adventure ending at the Atlantic coast in Taghazout. Perfect blend of Sahara exploration and beach relaxation, passing through Rissani market, Draa Valley, and traditional Berber villages.
Morning departure from Marrakech in a private vehicle, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 m). We'll stop along the way for panoramic views and photos. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its role in many films. Then continue through Ouarzazate, the Valley of Roses, and the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs to reach the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in a charming guesthouse with valley views.
After breakfast, drive toward the impressive Todra Gorges, where you'll have time for a short walk and photos in the towering canyon. Continue to Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara. In the late afternoon, switch to camels for a sunset trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner, traditional Berber music, and overnight in a luxury desert camp beneath the stars.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the Merzouga desert region. Take a 4x4 tour to visit nomadic families, the Khamlia village (famous for Gnawa music), and admire the landscapes around the dunes. You'll have the option to try sandboarding, enjoy a traditional lunch in a local home, and relax before returning to your kasbah hotel in the edge of the dunes. Dinner and second night in the Kasbah Hotel.
Early wake-up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Before leaving the region, we will visit the town of Rissani, once the capital of the Tafilalet region and a major caravan center. If today is Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday, or during the Moussem of Moulay Ali Cherif, we'll explore the lively local market. We will also visit Moulay Ali Cherif's mausoleum and some of Rissani's ancient kasbahs. After the visit, continue west through Alnif, with scenic views of the arid landscapes and Anti-Atlas mountains. Then enter the Draa Valley, home to endless palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and fortified villages. We'll pass through traditional Berber villages such as Tazarine and N'Kob, eventually reaching the peaceful town of Agdz. Dinner and overnight in a kasbah-style guest house overlooking the valley.
After breakfast, continue your journey through Taliouine, known for saffron production, and then to Taroudant, often called the 'Little Marrakech' for its fortified walls and local charm. In the afternoon, we arrive on the Atlantic coast at Taghazout or Agadir. Drop-off at your beach accommodation. End of the tour.
